The third conference organized by IRAM was concerned with  the presentation of  contemporary Macedonian music and culture. It is a result of the long-standing cooperation between UKIM Faculty of Music  and Trinity College of Music London. This cooperation has resulted in several important projects (exchange of students, professors, programs, conferences etc.). Among them is the Tempus CD JEP-15019-200 project, the main aim of which was the development of the Institute for Research and Archiving of Music (IRAM) at UKIM FM. The consortium for this project includes UKIM FM, Trinity College of Music and Koninklijk Conservatorium from Den Haag. This is a three year project (2000-2003) and among the other activities, several conferences are planned in the UK, Holland and Macedonia.

This is the second conference in London. Last September, the first similar conference was organized in Macedonia, during the festival  Struga Autumn .

The central event was the presentation of the papers of IRAM researchers: the graduate and doctoral students of musicology and sonology and the professors from UKIM FM.

The accompanying event was the concert of the KFB Trio (Ljubisa Kirovski - violin, Zhivko M. Firfov - cello, Dimitrije Buzarovski - piano) which performed works by Dimitrije Buzarovski
